Bob Olson

Inducted into the Brockville and Area Sports Hall of Fame June 11th, 2026.

Bob Olson has coached high school basketball at TISS from 1973 to 2004, a total of 32 years. For the majority of those years, he coached girls basketball in the Fall and boys basketball in the Winter. Over that long and distinguished career, he has coached 1320 games in total. A total that is believed to be the most by any high school coach in the area. In the mid-1990s, Bob and co-coach Mary Begg led the TISS Pirates to three consecutive all-Ontario senior girls championships. He has received a provincial high school award for his coaching along with coaching honours from the Brockville Sports Awards. Bob has always carried himself in the most professional manner.
