Jim Hale
Inducted into the Brockville and District Hall of Fame June 10th, 2011.
Hockey was his first love and he played with Oshawa Juveniles and Oshawa Junior ‘B’ Army team when stationed in Brockville. He played with the Brockville Chiefs when they were first organized in 1950 until 1957. He was also called up to play with the Magedomas several times. He played gentleman’s hockey for the Phillips Cable Team. Jim also played in the men’s fastball league. He curled with the Brockville Country Club for about 25 years with his team winning several trophies. He was member of the Highland Golf Club for 35 years. He had two Holes-In-One and was low Gross ‘B’ Champion in 1976, 1990 and 1992.
He also turned to coaching back in 1957, coaching several divisions including a Peewee team that won the International Fram Tournament in Rhode Island in 1971.
